Hello Guys,

Further to Avinash question. How about the Linux Certification Institution Junior Part 1 and 2.

Does this help to find a job? It is easy to pass with 1 year experience in linux?

I saw the exam cost RS 4500.

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Regards,

Sebastien

Hello Avinash,

Linux System Administration is indeed cool as career, surely for someone passionate about IT. A quick look at <http://myjob.mu> myjob.mu will give a hint at the market demands & requirements. Unix/Linux skills are highly regarded in the tech industry. As for experience, well, it depends on how much you're diving into. I'll suggest not to wait for a job opportunity to explore Linux. Maybe you could start from right here, grasp the technicalities all while playing around & building cool toys.

Go through the posts on <http://lugm.org> lugm.org, you'll surely find stuffs you can try play with.

Hello Everyone,

Well, I am a guy with no IT experience, but have an aim to entering IT world.

I want to learn something different in IT and do things which few people do. This is when I discovered Linux World.

I was wondering if anyone can advise on career prospects on Linux Administration in Mauritius. Linux Administration is something I desire to learn.

Thank you for your advice.

Best Regards,

Avinash
