[lugm.org] Linus Torvalds finds GNOME 3.4 to be a "total user experience design failure"

You know, I switched to KDE somewhere in 2000 and did not look back.
Things went downhill after KDE 4.0. The semantic desktop utilities
(akonadi, soprano etc) are a HORRIBLE mess. I have been using xfce for
a few weeks now and it does a nicer job for a simple desktop without
bells and whistles. Sometimes I need those bells and whistles so I
keep checking out the latest KDE versions from time to time. I am
giving KDE yet another chance on my desktop as I write this from a KDE
4.8 system
