Dear Avinash,

thanks for your quick and very interesting reply. I have a couple of questions:

1) I would like to include in my article a link or two to online
articles, or whole websites in english that could best provide a
foreigner with a quick overview of the current economical/social
situation in Mauritius. However, I don't want to use Wikipedia (I
like to remind people that a good thing of the Internet is its
_diversity_ and plenty of independent, different sources), and, of
course, I trust your judgement more than mine on this. Which links
would YOU Mauritius citizens suggest for this purpose?

2) right now, the part in which I am more interested is this:

> As I wrote in my post on my political blog Elections.mu (see
> http://www.elections.mu/2010/05/04/l-informatique-selon-les-deux-alliances/),
> this proposal, if implemented, has the potential to greatly
> contribute to the development of the country but, of course, it will
> require a change in the way teaching is done in the country.

- what will have to be changed, exactly? Just mentality or also
practical things (ie regulations, class logistics, teacher training,
  curricula...)
- which of these things that have to be changed are specific of
Mauritius, and which are issues commons to other countries?

Oh, and do you know about the international OLE program and how they
use OLPC in Nepal:

what do you think of their approach? Could something of their
work/methods be reused in Mauritius?

Thanks again for your attention,

       Best Regards,
			Marco Fioretti
