Canonical has not been profitable on the desktop side, as few PC/laptop manufacturers ship with Ubuntu pre-installed.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1432728167485_2956" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1432728167485_3034" dir="ltr">The second project which will probably be shelved will be Ubuntu on smartphones, if they cannot find enough partnership to make it profitable.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1432728167485_3035" dir="ltr">Canonical main source of revenue is the Cloud, and it likely that the new investors/shareholders will focus on that instead.
