since some time there have been the Thin provisioning for lvm and most
probably btrfs. zfs is getting very old .

with recent massive storage available , for example I can use 9x5Tb sata +
1x5Tb esata + 14x5TB usb = 120Tb of data on my computer ,

what filesystem is recommended and does stratis handle such storage in an
optimized manner?

If I am buying new motherboard having as far as 5 PCI-E port and I am using
24-ports SAS raid cards , I can install 5x24x12TB = 1440Tb of storage.

What is the recommended solution?
