The slackware 14.2 distribution is nearing its launch.

Its been more than 2 years that 14.1 was launch.


New features of Slackware 14.2 is that a live edition is ready as soon as
it is launched. This edition can be used with KF5 without much
configurations.

udev is dropped for eudev and libgudev which are developed the gentoo team,
so systemd and family won't be supported. We are still using hard core init
scripts keeping some basic compatibility with sysvinit.

lilo is still the default boot loader using the last development release,
yeah lilo will have no further support.

To use nouveau, LLVM and gcc and g++ have to be installed.
