That still sucks. You've been on premises and witnessed latency.. I have 85ms from mu to se via sdh, add 10ms on mux, its solid 100ms.

You're wasting time in fire fighting since your carriers' network is poorly engineered.

Here's a Orange Business unlimited connection:

http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/1203958

Notice the F grade for lag.

Here's a Myt 10 MB/s connection:
http://elandsys.com/~logan/linux_meetup_august_28082015.pdf
Go to page 3 for the result.

Notice the F grade for lag.

And here's my result:
http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/1206328

Notice the A+ grade for the lag. If you look carefully, you will notice that my latency varies very little :)

The idea is that at the end of the install-fest, participants can take their routers home, and just plug it in, and anjoy good latency while whatsapping, skype, hangout, and gaming.

We are getting some very interesting improvements to our latency, while under load :)

Hi All,

2 people approached me concerning OpenWRT, and Fq_Codel. They were interested in a Router "Install-fest". They are buying the routers, but would like to get guidance regarding how to install & Configure openwrt for optimum bandwidth usage on their home internet.

What do you guys think ?
