[lugm.org] Upcoming meetup

The National Computer Board influences government policy. Pushing for open
source and open standards adoption for the greater good of the community is
part of LUGM's mission. LUGM will be more interested in collaborating with
the NCB than spend its resources on fixing the slowness of defimedia, a
company which has the resources to fix its problems but apparently chooses
not to. What I want to make clear is if any LUGM member wants to do free or
paid work for a company, they can do so but they can't do it under LUGM's
name and neither represent themselves as being "LUGM-approved",
"LUGM-certified" etc.

If the defimedia webmaster wants our help, s/he can join the mailing
list/facebook group and ask questions on how to fix their site and the LUGM
members will help, like we do for everyone else. "Linux mauritius" on
google shows LUGM as the first hit so its not hard to figure out :-)

I take this opportunity to pass on a reminder that we're all here to
advocate free software/open source and open standards. Personal attacks
don't make any of us look good in this mission.
