Subject: [lugm.org] Minutes of meeting Linux Meetup, 12/10/13

Venue: Pizza perfect Bagatelle.
People present:
Ajay R.
Ish S.
Selven C.
Nitin M.
Pawan
Ashley B.

Yuram V.
Avinash M
Trisha G.
Darshini S.
Neha G.

Ish informed that the Linux festival event has been planned for the 25th November of 2013 at 9.00, which after some debating became 9:30.

Ajay mentionned that we should focus on how Linux can help out hobbyist or expert in different fields (other than IT), e.g Stargazing, Photography etc.

People who are willing to give a presentation on that said day of presentation were:

Ajay
Nadim A
Ish
Nitin
Selven

A managing committee meeting need to be made in the coming week per Ajay's advice.

Post the presentations at UoM, (i.e after around noon), people shall be invited to the raised plaza for a lesser formal exposure to linux, per Ish.
Ajay also added that showing how gaming is possible in opensource OS even if it is simple fb style gaming will get people interested to know that daily things can be done with the open source systems.

It was proposed that possibly Neha G and Darshini S might help with the presentation of the LUG event.

It seems very much that the Opensource familly of the lug is growing and growing :)

Furthermore, this matter about students fees to join were again placed on the table, this needs to be pushed to the next MC meeting.

Sincerely.
Selven
Secretary of the LUGM
