Hi folks,

I met a few students who want to learn Linux. I started by giving them
Linux Live editions and last Saturday met a few to have some Linux
chit-chat.

It was great. I am really encouraged by their enthusiasm. I told them about
LUG, MSCC and other Linux projects which they can join and have fun (on
IRC, mailing lists etc). I also told them about the openSUSE Advocate
program; in which they seem pretty interested. From this point, I thought
I'd revive the somewhat dormant openSUSE group in Mauritius (I know several
people who are SUSE users but not very active in the community). Thought
maybe the fresh blood will bring some energy.

However as Jochen pointed on Facebook and after giving a second thought
maybe it'll be better to direct them to LUG itself and I start a local
openSUSE Advocacy program within LUG.

During the week I'll setup a meetup page to organize/track the same. I'm
having another meeting with these guys next Saturday around 15h00 at
Bagatelle. Those who are free, just pop in (:

Please tell me about your opinion & suggestions. What do you guys think on
using LUG name for these meetups?

Regards,

Ish Sookun
