I'm quite shocked learning his death,  Shailen and I spent our teenage years together playing basket ball on the neighborhood playground.  He was passionate in whatever he carried out.

In case you didn't get the initial mail from Ajay,

Shailen Surat passed away on the 4th of December. He was 
out of the ICU, and had returned home. 

Personally, I met him in 2004, and he made a huge impression on
me, and encouraged me to pursue hacking in my spare time.

Words fail me to describe the loss of one of the pioneers of FLOSS
in MU, and most importantly a good friend.
