As for HP-UX, the only good thing that they did invent
(and was subsequently copied by other POSIX systems) is
setresuid().

Also, a skilled HP-UX is also worth more. 

Some rules are universal:

Skilled admins and programmers will always
be worth more.

Rare skillsets are worth more, due to demand v/s
availability issues.

hp-ux experts are a rare commodity these days...
