Hello there,

Last weekend, I've filed a RFE for emacs upstream developers to update
vhdl-mode and verilog-mode included within emacs sources.

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnu-emacs/2009-12/msg00232.html

What surprises me is that GNU's philosophy is "Free and opensource
software", but actually they don't support any free and opensource
vhdl simulators by default on emacs. All the simulators on emacs
VHDL-mode list are proprietary.

I'm looking again for someone experience with emacs/lisp to help me
add some missing implementations on emacs's vhdl-mode. I've created a
patch (from my one week experience with emacs), but if not enough to
compete with the functionality that emacs provides for proprietary
simulators. Can someone please help me implement the extra
functionality for opensource simulators with vhdl-mode ? I'll detail
the missing parts if someone is interested.

That said: We are still looking for contributors to help us create a
microelectronic design platform out of opensource software for the
real world :) If someone is interested :

Cheers,
